Saving the World Cup

The 2010 World Cup will be the biggest sports event Africa has ever hosted. South Africa will be in the focus of the world.

But there are a few roadblocks: Would you agree that it is hard to cheer in the wake of 5 million HIV infected and 1.2 million orphans as a result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic?

Any celebration taking place today would be overshadowed by widespread violence and rape leaving many people traumatized.
